With the beginning of the pandemic back in 2020 I was one of the first to teach online. I got the necessary equipment and in cooperation with some friends I offered all the classes I used to teach in a week. The first two weeks have been amazing. Full online classes and everyone was curious how this would work out.
During these first two weeks all classes were for free. My friends and I had to learn, and also you as my students had the chance to learn and figure out if this is a format you could live with for the time being. We continued for some weeks until summer. Numbers in classes declined and we ended our offering. Some of my friends continued, and since I never felt comfortable in front of the camera I for myself I decided that teaching online is just not my jam.
Who could possibly know that teaching online will stay with us for as long as it did and continues to do. And it’s a good thing we now have the chance to learn with great teachers from all over the world. I myself can join classes with my teachers on a regular basis whereas I could enjoy their teachings only once a year during my annual trip to the United States or – if I was lucky – they travelled over the pond to teach some workshops or trainings.
It’s a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you’re ready. I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything. There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now. And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.Hugh Laurie
During this past 2+ years I made peace with the thought that I will never teach online again. I didn’t really think I would be ready for it. I am not even sure I am now but somehow life tricks you into situations you avoided like the plague.
Yet here I am.
This time is as good as any. Subbing for one of my dear teachers. I had the pleasure to join her beginner-friendly BLISS* class every Tuesday. Not sure why but during this time slot no work meetings except for the odd ones ever got scheduled. Her BLISS class helped me a lot to recover after my hip after surgery.
It is an honour to get the chance to teach every now and then for her on LYT PRIME. All live classes are included in your membership. If you don’t have one or just don’t want to commit to another membership you can easily drop-in for US$15,-. Find more information on the LYT Platform (always worth a visit).
If you have any questions on how things work with LYT DAILY or LYT PRIME please drop me a message 📧.
