YogaMand at Noquochoke Lake

„Heaven is a little closer in home by the water“ ~ seen on a shelf in Susan’s House

Last weekend I spent with my HandstandSista and dear friend Susan and her family in New England. She lives close to the sea but her home is right at this beautiful lake.

Why am I sharing this? Well, the last two weekends I spent at the water. Instantly I knew what I am missing at home … water. The air, the breeze, the bonfire at the riverside or the shore, the bikinis, the sand between the toes. An idea was born. An idea which hopefully brings me a bit closer to my dream.

I want to encourage you to give yourself enough space to discover what is growing inside you. Allow yourself to think about it, to be creative and courageous, experience new paths and try something new every single day of your life. Things will grow.

Enjoy the journey, Loves ❤

YogaMand and the Sea

“There was a magic about the sea. […] It was a living thing that as as unpredictable as a great stage actor: it could be calm and welcoming, opening its arms to embrace it’s audience one moment, but then could explode with its stormy tempers, flinging people around, wanting them out, attacking coastlines, breaking down islands. It had a playful side too, as it enjoyed the crowd, tossed the children about, knocked lilos over, tipped over windsurfers, occasionally gave sailors helping hands; all done with a secret little chuckle” ~ Cecelia Ahern

Camel at the Sea
When two half of a soul are finally see each other again there is always, always a phenomenal „Hello, how are you“. That’s how it felt for me when I got to the ocean last weekend to spend a day with this chuckling sea and three amazing women.

♥️Much love your way Michelle, Hannah and Chelsea ♥️

Take a Break

“Three simple rules in life:
1. If you do not go after what you want, you’ll never have it.
2. If you do not ask, the answer will always be no.
3. If you do not step forward, you will always be in the same place.”
~ Unknown

In the pursuit of Magic

Read this quote above on #InstaGram as a capture under a post of my #HandySis Joy @mumma_joy76 and I thought it highly appropriate for the time laying ahead of me.

Same procedure as every year. I’ll take a break to go after the things I want, to ask questions I want to hear an answer, and to step forward … because I want to #move to unknown places ❤

What I have learned during Teacher Training at Katonah Yoga, New York City

This is a specialized practical training for teachers wishing to develop their ability to adjust posture, articulate specific and personalized instructions, work with abroad range of body types and ages, and in general relate the functionality and depth that a relevant yoga practice has to offer.

Why does alignment matter? People will ask. Gain a functional understanding of the relationship between posture, perspective, insight, and overall psychological orientation.Every body has a narrative. Learn to read, interpret, and dialogue in the body’s language.

Nature, by nature, de-forms. Just look around you. Study the terrain of the body, identify and re-form parts that have been damaged by physical and emotional experiences.

Assisting with your hands and feet, as well as measuring and leveraging with props, learn to provide students with transformative adjustments that can transform their entire practice and inform their sense of self.

Personal Practice

Interestingly most teachers have no such practice. Training will include a self led practice that will be developed and evaluated. If you do not already have one, you will develop one during this training, and one day you’ll thank me for making you do it.
